REPLACEMENT TILED ROOF CONSERVATORY
Just when they thought their conservatory was only fit for the scrapheap, we confounded the expectations of this homeowner and restored its purpose.
All is most definitely not lost when your old conservatory ceases to provide the level of thermal efficiency it once did. Miracles can be worked just by exchanging the current roofing system for a more reliable replacement. So that the existing structure was capable of bearing the weight of a replacement tiled roof, we fitted brand new UPVC windows. When viewed from the outside, you could be very easily convinced that the conservatory was built with the house, but that isn’t the case. It acts as a combined living and dining area and is cleverly linked to the kitchen.
You will see there is what seems to be a fairly insignificant roof window in the roof covering, but it’s more than significant due to the wealth of light it draws in. In the absence of natural light, the artificial kind can supply the conservatory with the illuminated atmosphere it needs courtesy of the spotlights inside the perimeter roof. We even took care of the new guttering for the design to ensure that it never becomes subject to any water damage. Our final job was to incorporate a fire into the extension as who doesn’t love a bit of cosiness in winter?
Whilst fitting the specially designed roof, the guttering utilised also had to be exactly on point from the perspective of aesthetics and functionality. The authentic fire adds to the charm of the conservatory and will be invaluable on those exceptionally cold occasions, but with such a thermally insulating roof on top, this reenergised conservatory will feel forever inviting.
