Welcome To TWC’s Window Range
We have a wealth of windows available at TWC if the New Year seems the perfect time to restore the kerb appeal of your home and make it more thermally efficient.
Replacing your old windows isn’t quite as straightforward as you think it should be as e.g. the replacements need to match the age and character of the property, otherwise you run the risk of spoiling aesthetics. You also need to be certain they will sufficiently protect your home.
It helps to get to understand the types of window design on offer to avoid making any costly mistakes. Here is a short breakdown of three window offerings that you may be less familiar with than some of the other options in our extensive range.
UPVC Extreme
We’ve all heard of a UPVC window, but what makes a UPVC Extreme window different? It has earned its ‘Extreme’ tag as it is extreme in every sense of the word.
The thermal efficiency and security standards of this window are extreme to say the least as they massively outperform your standard UPVC window in these two key areas.
A+ energy rated as standard, they’re one of very few window systems to have received the Secured by Design accreditation as the Police have tested them and given UPVC Extreme windows their full seal of approval.
Flush Casement
Envisage is one of the most impressive imitations of a traditional flush casement window that you could wish to find.
It has many of the hallmarks of an original flush casement including the same lines and proportions, hardware and textures and colours that you would traditionally associate with an authentic equivalent.
But Envisage is manufactured using UPVC instead of timber which massively works in its favour as UPVC is a better insulator, less likely to age and a far more resilient material – it trumps timber in every respect.
Residence 9
The flush casement window isn’t the only window that’s been given a modern upgrade as Residence 9 is a 21st Century version of a traditional 19th Century flush sash timber window.
Commonly accepted by planners for replacement window projects in conservation areas and at Listed Buildings, Residence 9 possesses all the period charm of a wood-crafted flush sash and has been meticulously sculptured.
But like our flush casements, it has been produced from UPVC as opposed to wood to restrict the need for maintenance and ensure Residence 9 delivers a far higher level of thermal efficiency.
