Mr & Mrs Cartwrights
Glass Roof Conservatory With Bi-folding Doors
A majestic setting for all those mealtimes.
The Cartwrights had yearned to have a dedicated space in their house where social gatherings could take place. They followed through with that ambition, relying on our experience.
It was eight years since the Cartwrights first moved into their house and they hadn’t done much to the property from that point. Conscious of this, the update that most sprang to their mind was to have a new living space built, as they had long wanted to do something that would narrow the gap between their home and garden. They also knew that they could gain a great view of their outdoor area from an extension.
Unsure how to go about achieving what they wanted, they made the journey to our showroom, and they were left extremely glad that they did. They got to see a string of extensions, all in one setting, and had the opportunity to speak with a consultant, who noted their desires and then produced some concepts that matched them.
Knowing that we could take responsibility for every element of the project greatly appealed to the Cartwrights as they didn’t fancy having to appoint several tradespeople. We also showed them a portfolio of some of the previous extensions and this reinforced the belief they had that we were up to the job.
Much of their conservatory consists of glass, as do most conservatories, but as it is energy efficient glass, it doesn’t lead to excess warmth inside in summer. On the flip side, the glass expertly holds in heat, so there’s no internal chill during winter either. The Cartwrights’ favourite aspect of the conservatory is the bi-folding doors. They’ll often fold them open first thing in the morning before they sit down to breakfast, consumed in the conservatory, of course.
