Buying an orangery is one of the biggest financial investments a person will make in their lifetime, so it’s important to maximise that investment. That’s exactly what this householder did as they requested the addition of the Ultraroof to their new extension – the most up-to-date roofing system. Made up of lightweight tiles / slates, it’s these tiles / slates that help make the orangery look as though it has always been a part of the house. Thinking of the warm summer months, we were also asked to include several top opening windows for ventilation purposes and a set of French doors to create a beautiful passage into the garden and onto the patio.
As spectacular as it looks in daylight, the orangery looks equally spectacular at night when the two exterior light fittings are turned on as they put it right in the spotlight. They make it sparkle, just like the two rectangular glazed panels sparkle when the sun shines on them. These glazed panels were especially made-to-measure so that they sit neatly within the roof covering. The aerial views through them are nothing short of captivating and they are just one of several reasons why the entire family adores spending time inside the extension, particularly the little ones.
