The beautiful, sculptured frame, bead and Georgian bar of the sash window fully integrates with any other window in our range – so you can mix and match styles throughout your home with confidence. While sliding sash windows are classically traditional, our windows will seamlessly blend with more contemporary ones in your home. Not only do our sliding sash windows slide up and down but both inwardly tilt for ease of cleaning and ventilation.
It would have been foolish of us to tamper with the traditional design of a vertical sliding sash window, so we haven’t! It comes with the sash horns and chamfer that you would normally expect to see on a traditional sliding sash window. It also has the exact same sliding motion. However, we have brought it up to date by manufacturing the design from UPVC as it massively outperforms timber in terms of thermal efficiency.
Our sliding sash windows consist of two sashes that are independent from each other. You will be able to slide the sashes up and down effortlessly.
Fans of the look of timber shouldn’t be disappointed as these vertical sliding sash windows can be supplied in White Ash, Cream, Rosewood and Golden Oak foils. Being able to inwardly tilt the glass panes also makes cleaning such a simple task and will be invaluable for ventilating your living space.

UPVC sash windows are generally finished in white and that will continue, but we’re now at a point where they can be supplied in many more finishes. TWC uses a formula that allows us to produce colours that you just wouldn’t expect to see in UPVC designs.
The demand for finishes like Grey, Irish Oak and Chartwell Green keeps on growing and will likely one day be as strong as it is for traditional white.

The glass is always a fundamental part of any window, so remember that when you are in the middle of planning and organising a window design with TWC. If you live in a house with stunning external views, a clear glass should suffice, but if you reside in a property that’s overlooked by other homes, you might want to include our privacy glazing in your windows.
